Esme, My Love (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

Hannah sees in her aloof daughter Esme the signs of a terminal and painful illness, and she wants the two of them to reconnect before they have to say goodbye. She takes Esme on a camping trip to the family's abandoned farm in Hague, New York, an old campground and dairy farm where an empty house stands in the woods. Esme is reluctant at first, but she joins her mother. On the grounds of the farm, Hannah digs in the soil and talks about someone named Emily. Inside the house, the two of them find jars of preserved peaches and eat them.
