Daniela Nane

Daniela Nane is a Romanian actress and director who first came to notice as a beauty pageant winner. Born in Iași, she took the Miss Romania title in 1991 and the following year traveled to Las Vegas for Miss Universe, where she was Romania's first participant. Between 1991 and 1995 she trained at the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, studying under Mircea Albulescu, Cătălin Naum and Adrian Titieni. A production of Patul lui Procust under director Cătălina Buzoianu gave her a debut that won two best actress awards. She has appeared in more than 50 plays, films and television shows, and she serves as artistic director of the Musical Theater Ambasadorii. In 1994 she attended a masterclass, and in 2011 she took a course on Japanese culture and theater at Osaka University through the UNESCO Chair. She made her directing debut in 2021 with a comedy play filmed in Vâlcea.
