Plot summary
Elizabeth is a new bride, and her husband is Dr. Henry Kellenberg, a scientist. He brings her to his grand house, where two other people live: Claire, the housekeeper, and Oliver, Henry's adult son, who is blind. Henry shows Elizabeth around the house and sets one rule. She may enter any room except one in the basement. Henry leaves for work each day, and Elizabeth is on her own. New clothing, jewelry and the other comforts of the house keep her entertained.

- Director Sebastian Gutiérrez cast Abbey Lee as the title character Elizabeth partly because her years as a successful model gave her life experience he found helpful for a role that must seem alien-like yet desirable; he said Lee was clear from their first meeting on how she would differentiate the film's several versions of the woman.
- Writer-director Sebastian Gutiérrez had wanted to turn Charles Perrault's "Bluebeard" into a science fiction film for around a decade before Elizabeth Harvest got made, but he struggled to find financing.
