Plot summary

Lee Riley, charming but hot-headed, has finished a three-year prison term and comes back to Los Angeles to win back Kate Caldwell, the girlfriend he left behind. In the years since, Kate has built an independent life of her own, but she agrees to let him stay with her while he searches for an apartment. The pair quickly fall back into the habits and rhythms of their old romance, with its familiar highs and lows. That renewed passion pulls against the life Kate has made for herself, and both of them have to weigh what they remember against the people they have become.
