Plot summary
Lok has led the Wo Lin Shing triad for two years, and he wants to break tradition by holding the chairmanship for a second term. His godsons gather: Kun, just out of jail, declares his candidacy and asks for Lok's backing, which Lok refuses, and Lok privately tells Jet he can have the post if Jet kills for him. The elders prefer Jimmy, a successful businessman who wants to leave the triad behind and make his Mainland China operations legitimate, so he turns the offer down. On a trip to Mainland China to bribe an official, Jimmy and his junior partner Lik are arrested. Xi, head of Guangdong Public Security, releases Jimmy and sets his terms: business there is possible only if Jimmy becomes the next chairman and works with the police.
