Plot summary
Pablo, twelve years old, is called El Bola. His father is violent at home, and the boy is ashamed of his family life, so he hides what goes on in the house and keeps his distance from the boys in his class. He has few friends at school until Alfredo arrives as a new pupil, and the two become friends. The atmosphere in Alfredo's family is warm and caring, unlike the violence in Pablo's own home, and through his friend Pablo gets to see how differently a family can live. The friendship changes how the boy behaves with his classmates.
