Druid Peak (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Owen is sixteen and lives in West Virginia coal country, where he fights with his family and lashes out at school. His actions bring about a friend's death, and he is sent to Wyoming to stay with Everett, the father he barely knows, a biologist working on wolf reintroduction in Yellowstone National Park. Owen wants nothing to do with the arrangement. Then a Canadian grey wolf appears close to him, and the animal's look wakes something he had thought gone. Everett notices the first signs of change and asks his son to keep notes on the wolf and its relatives, the Druid Peak pack. The small task grows into a passion, and Owen becomes deeply tied to the pack and its struggle to survive.
