Plot summary
Deepak Veer Chopra, a doctor from India, emigrates to Canada for a new life and stays with his uncle Vijay, who runs an Indian restaurant in Toronto and sponsored his visa. Every hospital he applies to tells him his Indian degree does not count and that he must study medicine again in Canada. He meets Tony, a taxi driver, while roaming the streets, and later waits tables at his uncle's restaurant before giving it up. Tony convinces him to drive a cab for Pete Donaldson's company. Listening to his passengers, Deepak begins offering advice about their ailments. When rain and traffic make the hospital unreachable, Natalie Wilman's baby is born in his cab, and Tony's video of the delivery spreads online.
