Plot summary
Frank Clayton has lived for himself since he walked out on his wife Rachel and their son Sam ten years ago, working hard, drinking hard and chasing women, with his boss Bill as his main company. Sam, now a teenager, believes he drove his father away; he is close to failing his school exams and cannot get a conversation going with Amy, the girl he loves. Rachel asks Frank to step in and gets his usual evasion. Told that he is dying, Frank sets out to reconnect with Sam and to resist the temptations that could pull him back to his old life.
