Plot summary
Gail Tempest works as a dancer at the Black Bottom cafe, the nightclub where Moe, Larry and Curly are musicians. When Kirk Robin is murdered, Tempest is charged with the crime, and the Stooges, her friends at the club, are named as key witnesses at the trial. They are supposed to testify, but they are not in the courtroom when they are wanted; they are occupied with a game of jacks.

- Disorder in the Court was the first Three Stooges short to spell Curly Howard's name "C-U-R-L-Y" in the opening titles instead of the earlier "C-U-R-L-E-Y". The title card also reversed the billing order to Curly-Larry-Moe, effectively handing Curly top billing.
- Disorder in the Court is one of four Columbia Stooges shorts that fell into the public domain when the copyright expired in 1964, the others being Malice in the Palace, Sing a Song of Six Pants and Brideless Groom. As a result, all four turned up frequently on budget video compilations and streaming services.
