Plot summary
Michael Lanyard, a retired jewel thief known as the Lone Wolf, has just added a rare Cuban stamp to his collection and has words with his butler Jamison about winnings from a rigged dice game in Havana. Patricia Lawrence, bound for the same flying boat to Miami, shares his carriage. At the Miami airport, Chimp and Mr. Lee, who work for Big Joe Brady, ambush the pair, and Lanyard gets them both away. Lawrence then tells him about her boyfriend Scotty: a client hired Scotty to send a package holding one hundred thousand dollars in bank notes, and the client was killed. Inspector Crane, his assistant Dickens and Miami's Captain Moon all want Lanyard, so he keeps one step ahead of them and goes after Brady.
