Plot summary
The checkout assistants at Discount's, a supermarket run by Sofia Benhaoui, learn that automatic pay stations are being installed and that jobs will go. The staff are also set against one another, since the store will decide who stays and who is fired. Christiane has money troubles, Alfred is the oldest and the one whose job is most at risk, Emma is raising a child on her own, and Momo is young. After a heated debate, the four agree to a proposal from their colleague Gilles: they will take goods out of the supermarket and sell them cheaply in a social grocery they run themselves.
