Plot summary
Chef Dave Oberlin's career collapses after an altercation with a well-known food critic spreads online, and elite restaurants blacklist him. He accepts a teaching position at a culinary arts school run by a friend. Cardiologist Nina Kirby is in line for a promotion at her hospital, and the Head of Cardiology tells her that recruiting Dave to teach the Healthy Living seminars would settle the matter. Nina cannot cook and has no wish to learn, but her best friend Olivia talks her into enrolling in Dave's class. When she puts the seminar proposal to him, he is uninterested, pointing to her poor participation, and her attempts to win him over lead the two of them toward common ground they did not expect.
