Plot summary
Dallas and Hank are survival experts on reality television, and their show Road to Nowhere puts them in the wilderness for twenty-one days with only three items each in their backpacks. The Jersey Devil is a creature of local legend, and the trip is built around the search for it in the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, the woods that folklore gives it. As the two friends push deeper into that cold, rugged country, a trio of young neo-pagan worshippers, sky-clad, tries to warn them away. Hunger and desperation follow. They lose their way, and something with glaring red eyes appears to track them.
