Plot summary
Officers in Tokyo are being shot, one at a busy crossing and another in a parking lot, both found with their police notebooks. Conan Edogawa and Inspector Megure investigate, while Kogoro Mohri finds Megure unwilling to share details about the deaths. At a party, an explosion cuts the power and Ran Mohri is shielded by Detective Sato, who is gravely wounded. Ran faints at the sight of the blood and wakes with no memory of anyone she knows, including Shinichi. Her father and mother try to help her recover what she has lost, and the police reopen an old case tied to the officers who were killed.
