Plot summary
Skye Davidson, a TV star, is on a road trip with her father, Professor Lance Davidson, an academic who is fascinated by roadside attractions. They stop in a remote desert town to see the world's biggest ice cream cone. An accident spills an unknown substance across the highway, and the pair must remain in the town for several days. During their stay, Skye meets the community's unusual residents, including a person whose hobby is making pipe bombs and a man working to build the desert waterpark his father had envisioned.
