Plot summary
Angela was convicted of killing more than twenty people, burning the care home where she worked and poisoning a church, and her daughter Carly has not spoken to her since. Carly's friend Sam supports her, and the two have cut off their old friend Martin since he started spreading strange theories about Angela. Martin asks Carly to meet, saying he took part in a Therapol trial involving real medical patients, one of them a comatose Angela. Therapol then invites Carly to its facility, where the scientists Daniel and Michael explain that Angela fell into a coma after violent episodes in prison and now calls out from a simulation for Carly and Martin. They ask whether she will enter Angela's mind to talk to her.
