Plot summary
Sam and Javier are ghost hunters whose show Deadtectives is failing, and they choose Mexico's most haunted house as the setting for an episode meant to win back viewers. Kate, Sam's wife and the show's producer, makes the trip with them, along with Sam's awkward brother Lloyd and Bob, the special effects person. Sam and Javier give the impression that they believe in the paranormal and have experienced it, but none of the events their series has shown were real; Bob staged all of them. Lloyd is the only member of the group who thinks ghosts are real. Inside the home, Bob sets up his usual effects, and the haunting proves to be genuine.
