Plot summary
A driver named Theo is carrying Addison and Addison's sister Liza toward Canada with the proceeds of a casino robbery when a deer comes out of the snow and the car leaves the highway. The siblings part ways, and Addison sets off through the woods on foot. Jay, a former boxer, leaves prison on probation and heads to his parents' home for Thanksgiving. His mother June expects him, and his father Chet, a retired sheriff, is estranged. Sheriff Marshall T. Becker gathers men to hunt the fugitives and refuses to include his daughter, Deputy Hanna. Jay offers a ride to Liza, shivering at the roadside.
