Dashcam (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

At a local news channel in New York City, Jake cuts video and wishes he were a reporter instead. He is cutting a piece about a routine traffic stop that left a police officer and a political official dead. Government files then reach him by mistake, and among them is footage from the camera mounted in the police car. The recording does not match the account in the piece he is editing. From his small apartment, Jake puts his editing skills to work on the video and its audio. He wants to learn what happened at the scene, and the material suggests a possible cover-up involving officials high in the government.
