Plot summary
Karen Clarke works in a mortuary and wakes one day with injuries she cannot remember receiving. Susan Hamilton works in an office and is preparing for artificial insemination. The two women share a single existence: whenever one falls asleep she wakes as the other, and each is certain that her own life is the real one and that the other woman exists only in a dream. Karen's world turns nightmarish when a body on her mortuary table comes to life and a killer begins stalking her. She and Susan keep trading places, and the border between the two lives grows thin.
