Plot summary
Angel, Jo, Jasmine, Jesse and Stormy dance at the Blue Iguana, a club in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Angel wants a baby or a foster child, but her disorganized life stands in the way. Jo is pregnant and wants an abortion, and channels her anger into a second job as a dominatrix. Jasmine writes poetry and has a new boyfriend; she tells him she is a stripper, and he says he can accept it. Jesse is the youngest and newest of the five, and looks for acceptance and love from the dancers and the customers. Stormy is involved with her brother.
