Crime Busters (1977) on Netflix

Plot summary

Unemployed in Miami, Wilbur Walsh and Matt Kirby try to find work as longshoremen, but the dealers who run the docks turn them away. Matt proposes that the two rob a supermarket together, and Wilbur agrees. The pair mistakenly break into a police station instead of a store, and to avoid arrest they say they want to join the police force, which is granted. They complete their training despite their unorthodox way of making arrests, then go out on real police duty, where their main job is taking on the city's street gangs, among them a group of teenagers in old movie-gangster clothes, led by a kid named Geronimo in full Indian warrior regalia.
