Plot summary
Paul is an alcoholic mourning his deceased wife, Iris. He sits in an old cast iron tub with a drink, caught in a fever dream. Visions of Iris come to him, and she says contradictory things: that she never understood him, that he never gave her a chance, that he let her cheat on him. Then he finds an old Walkman and a cache of cassette tapes. He uses the player like a medium and begins conversations with Iris, real or imagined. The tapes may hold the secrets to his delusions. His friend Garry visits, worried about Paul's mental health. Paul tells Garry he has been thinking but cannot remember.
