Plot summary
San Diego Comic-Con began with 500 comic book fans and now draws more than 140,000 visitors. Five attendees prepare for the 2010 convention. Skip Harvey and Eric Henson are illustrators who show their artwork to publishers. Chuck Rozanski owns Mile High Comics, a Denver chain, and wants to sell a copy of Red Raven Comics number one. Holly Conrad builds Mass Effect costumes for a troupe called Suicide Mission and enters the costume competition. James Darling has a ring whose clock has no hands and plans to ask Se Young Kang, his girlfriend, to marry him.

- Costume designer Holly Conrad's troupe Suicide Mission entered San Diego Comic-Con's costume competition in Mass Effect costumes that included an alien named Grunt with animatronic eyes and mouth; they won the Judges' Choice Award, and Conrad was later hired to make other video game costumes and work as a wardrobe consultant on a Mass Effect feature film.
