Trailer

Plot summary

Colin was bitten by a zombie. He arrives at the house he shares with Damien with an injured arm and finds the place empty. He cleans the wound in the kitchen sink, and Damien, now one of the dead, comes at him. Colin puts a kitchen knife through his head again and again, and Damien goes still. Not long after, Colin dies as well. He rises as a zombie and wanders through suburbia and the streets of London as a zombie apocalypse takes hold. The usual craving for human flesh comes to him, though he keeps clear of the conflict.

  • Marc Price's 2008 British zombie film Colin was applauded for succeeding on a minuscule budget: the total cost of production was reportedly just £45.
  • Price shot Colin on a standard-definition Panasonic mini-DV camcorder he had owned for 10 years, then edited it on his home PC with Adobe Premiere 6, software that had come bundled with a video capture card he bought years earlier.
  • Price shot Colin in London over 18 months, relying on friends and professionals who worked for free to build their portfolios.
  • With no conventional casting, Marc Price used the social networks Facebook and Myspace to gather the actors who played the zombies in Colin.
  • Marc Price wanted Colin to tell its story from the zombie's own perspective, unaware of the 1998 film I, Zombie; he said that had he known of it, he probably would not have made Colin.
