Plot summary
Griselda Blanco grows up poor in Colombia and crosses into the United States on a forged passport with her husband Carlos and their sons Dixon, Uber and Osvaldo. The family settles in Queens, where Griselda makes fake passports for cocaine smugglers before moving into the trade herself, sending mules she believes are less likely to be stopped: beautiful women, older people and children. She leaves an abusive marriage and takes her children with her, then meets Carolina, an American woman who becomes her companion for years. She marries Alberto Bravo, and in Miami her drug operation grows, with assassins on motorcycles moving through the city faster than cars and business ties to Pablo Escobar in Colombia.
