Plot summary

Davis got his start at Columbia Records and went on to work at Arista Records and J Records. Music fills much of the film, and musicians and music industry figures appear as themselves. Davis is the chief interview subject, and the film also draws on the autobiography he published in 2013, The Soundtrack of My Life.
