Plot summary
Chuck Jones spent his career making cartoons, rising from cel washer to director of shorts built around Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Pepé Le Pew, Marvin the Martian and Wile E. Coyote with the Road Runner. The documentary traces the craft behind those cartoons, covering storyboards, backgrounds, dialogue, expressions, comic timing, sound effects and music, and it examines individual shorts including Duck Amuck, What's Opera, Doc?, One Froggy Evening and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Animators, critics, filmmakers and comedians add their own accounts of his career, along with his standing as an elder statesman of animation.
