Plot summary
Alex McPherson spent childhood summers in a small Pennsylvania town and returns there now. For the true crime podcast she makes, she plans an episode about a friend from those summers who went missing twenty years ago. To retrace the girl's route, Alex turns to a local newspaper editor, who is reluctant at first and then agrees to walk those last steps with her. Together they begin going through the days before the girl vanished.
