Plot summary
Kelsey Wilson's first job as a wedding planner is the Christmas Eve wedding of her cousin Emily. At a coffee shop she asks a man there for the last blueberry scone, and he refuses. Arriving late to a wedding event, she finds him there. He is Connor McClane, Emily's ex-boyfriend, and her aunt Olivia, also her mentor, asks Kelsey to keep an eye on him. Kelsey goes over to talk to him, and he gets her to walk outside, where he says he is a private investigator and wants information about Emily's fiancé, Todd. He invites Kelsey to work with him. She refuses.
