Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Joe Begos came up with Christmas Bloody Christmas while pitching a remake of 1984's Silent Night, Deadly Night, suggesting the murders be done by a Terminator-esque android. The pitch was rejected for straying too far from the original, but Begos kept developing the idea and wrote the script during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Abraham Benrubi was cast as the killer Santa because director Joe Begos did not want the part performed by a stuntman, due to the differences in physique.
