Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Daley Nixon's original screenplay was based on the real-life case of Peter Skyllberg, a Swedish man who was pulled barely alive from his snow-covered car after surviving on nothing but snow for two months in sub-zero temperatures.
- Star Vincent Piazza said the production used two identical cars, cut in different ways so the camera could move into unique positions, and parked them inside an ice cream freezer in Staten Island so the cold the actors endured was real.
