Plot summary
Fresh out of a hospital with gaps in his memory, Isaac takes work from his old landlord Moe Barrett. The job is to look after Olga, the daughter of Moe's brother Ed, who died the year before. Olga's mother went missing shortly after Ed's death. Moe takes Isaac to a house on a remote island and announces their arrival through an intercom. Olga sits motionless in her room with her hands over her face, a state Moe says comes often. Isaac must wear a chained leather harness that keeps him inside the house and out of Olga's room. Then Moe leaves. The chain of the harness begins in the basement.

- Director McCarthy filmed much of Caveat at Bantry House, which belongs to the family of a friend, but found the house far too nice for what they wanted for this film, so a lot of it was played on sets built outside.
- The toy rabbit featured in the film was acquired on eBay by McCarthy, who "always had an interest in wind-up toys". It was stripped of its fur and sent to costume and prop builder Lisa Zagone, who finalised its design.
