Plot summary
One of a thousand carnival sideshows touring the small towns of America in 1936, the Knuckles Brothers Show pulls in with acts and oddities meant to amaze the locals. Helen owns the carny and is often drugged and always demanding. Virgil, the strong man, carries a weak heart for Zoe, a gypsy who tells fortunes. Ratty, Virgil's friend, handles the snakes and is understood by few. William Crowley swallows swords. As the tents go up, a seemingly inhuman force tears performers apart and takes their souls. Virgil, Ratty and William Crowley set out to learn what is stalking the show.
