Plot summary
In October 1982 the yacht Trashman is on a transfer to Florida. An unexpected storm capsizes the vessel, leaving the crew adrift in open water for days. Captain John Lippoth, Brad Cavanagh, Deborah Scaling-Kiley, Mark Adams and Meg Mooney are among those in the water. Tiger sharks are drawn to the survivors, and the group has to endure cold, exhaustion, dehydration and the sharks below. Hope of rescue dwindles.

- Capsized: Blood in the Water was the first scripted feature film made for Discovery's Shark Week, released on July 31, 2019 as an exclusive to the network's week-long yearly event.
- Rather than filming at sea, the cast spent much of the shoot treading chest-high water in a 2.4 million gallon tank, with crew reportedly working for hours in scorching heat on metal catwalks above it; the sharks were added in post-production with CGI.
- One of the survivors, Deborah Scaling Kiley, published a book about the shipwreck, Albatross: The True Story of a Woman's Survival at Sea (1994), which had already been made into the 1997 TV movie Two Came Back.
