Plot summary
Vichy France is under Nazi occupation in 1942. Jacques speaks to the citizens of his country over the radio, and the Gestapo searches for him. His daughter Juliette is with him, and the two of them get help from Andre, a Swiss banker who puts his own life at risk for them. In occupied France, a group of resistance radio broadcasters keeps sending its own messages and evades capture, and a Jewish family travels alongside them.
