Plot summary
The Board of Directors puts an experimental educational program in place at Macdonald Hall, the boys' school, and Scrimmage Academy, the girls' school. Mr. Wizzle arrives as the new assistant headmaster at Macdonald Hall, and Ms. Peabody as assistant headmistress at Scrimmage Academy, both brought in to impose discipline. Students face dress regulations and psychological tests, and early wake-up calls that end in track laps when rules are broken. Bruno Walton and Boots O'Neil are among the boys who want Wizzle and Peabody gone, and the girls reach the same conclusion about the two assistants. Both groups try everything they can think of to drive the pair out.
