Bryan Dick
Biography
Bryan Dick is a British actor from Carlisle, England, who trained as a dancer after winning a scholarship to Elmhurst Ballet School at eleven. ITV scouts spotted him three years later and cast him as the lead in The Life and Times of Henry Pratt. Since graduating from LAMDA in 2000 he has worked steadily in British television drama, among it White Teeth, Blackpool, The Long Firm and Wolf Hall, where he played Sir Richard Riche, and he is perhaps best known for the BBC's BAFTA-winning Eric and Ernie, in which he played Ernie Wise. His films include Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), Blood and Chocolate (2007), Brothers of the Head (2006) and Colour Me Kubrick. He has also appeared on stage at the Royal Court and the National Theatre and played Willie Mossop in Hobson's Choice in the West End in 2016.
