Plot summary
A massive meteor shower ends the world. Sam survives it, but his son does not, and the loss leaves him a broken man. He is forced to live underground, with his trusted friend Troy and a young woman named Rose. The three travel into the underground world's darkest parts, where a crew of ragtag, heavily armed rangers is on the run with them. Mutated creatures, bandits and cannibals hunt them. Their defiance, and their refusal to give up on returning home, are challenged.
