Plot summary
Johnny Brett and King Shaw are a New York dance team with no luck and no pay for the dances they perform in a hall. Clare Bennett is a big Broadway star, and producer Bob Casey is putting together a new show that needs a dancing partner for her. Casey watches Johnny dance and wants him for the part, but Johnny, who thinks the offer comes from people the pair once lent money to, gives him King's name. King accepts the part and becomes Clare's partner in the show, and his success goes to his head while Johnny keeps helping him out.
