Plot summary
In Hell, Gregory Asmodeus works for Damien Tempter and interviews the newly deceased, who each argue that they do not belong there. Three cases are heard. Richard sits through a blind date at a quiet diner with Renee, whose overbearing manner toward him escalates as the evening goes on. Priscilla Parker is an overprotective mother, and her son Justin blames her for his failure to keep a girlfriend. Bennie Simmons is agoraphobic and writes jingles for a living; a care package from his brother brings him a new strain of marijuana, and after he smokes it he sees creatures and morbid hallucinations.
