Plot summary
Crutch's wife, Lena, pushes him to betray his best friend, Kane, and Crutch gives in. He hires his own brother, Black, to kill Kane, then takes Kane's cash and the streets as his own, and the two friends become sworn enemies. Kane answers with revenge, and the two men are locked in a battle of mind games in which nothing is as it seems. Kane plays it as chess, a war over the board whose object is to crush the opponent's mind. Crutch thinks he is eating, but he cannot win when he does not know that Kane is playing with his life.
