Plot summary
Confined to a single room during the COVID-19 pandemic, a comedian sets out to make a musical special by himself. He writes, performs, films, and edits songs and sketches about daily life indoors, the internet, and the audience he reaches through it. The material moves through FaceTiming his mother, Instagram posts, sexting, and livestreaming video games, while touching on climate change and social movements. A sock puppet appears to discuss historical genocide and worker exploitation. The room holds instruments and recording equipment, and the performer's appearance changes as the project continues. His mental health deteriorates as he tries to keep busy and keep viewers happy, and he questions performance, authenticity, and his relationship with the people watching.
