Plot summary
Grey Kessler, an indie singer-songwriter, released a successful debut album and now feels the pressure of a follow-up. She takes medication to hold off dreams in which she appears as a wolf, and her doctor can find no physical cause for her other symptoms. A reclusive producer, Vaughn Daniels, once a boy-band singer, offers Grey the run of his remote mansion for writing and recording a second album. Charlie, Grey's girlfriend and a painter, learns that Vaughn was tried but not convicted in the murder of a singer named Greta. Grey accepts the invitation and brings Charlie with her, and at the mansion Vaughn presses her to draw on her darkest instincts for the songs.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Bloodthirsty (2020)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The werewolf effects were practical makeup and prosthetics rather than CGI, in part because of the budget; Lauren Beatty said director Amelia Moses wanted the monster and the human visible at the same time.
- Lowell Boland, who performs as the singer-songwriter Lowell and had released the album We Loved Her Dearly, drew the film's story from her own personal experiences and the pressure she felt to produce a good second album.
- Lauren Beatty said director Amelia Moses approached her to play the main character, a queer singer-songwriter, because Beatty is both of those things in real life; the two had worked together on Bleed with Me.
- Lauren Beatty had five days between getting the part and leaving to shoot, and had to learn the film's songs plus the piano chords her character Grey plays in that time.
- Director Amelia Moses said the house used for filming was full of things to work with, since the low-budget production had no money for set decoration and the owner is a collector.
