Plot summary
Ross Gage is dead, and he comes to his cousin Alex Gage in dreams that torment him. He says a witch in Istanbul, North Carolina, killed him and warns Alex about her deadly spells. Alex goes to the town, meets the woman, and confronts her. His cousin has been missing, and Alex keeps looking for him. Fits of clumsiness overtake him, and he takes them for the work of a curse. The woman is Lillian Blatman, and Alex is falling in love with her.
