Plot summary
Raymond Sykes is a writer with big ambitions, and his wife Dorothy, a Jamaican immigrant who supports the household, have relocated to Los Angeles to start over. They hope the move will give them a fresh beginning. When Dorothy's sister Adel arrives without warning, old resentments between the couple flare up again.
