Plot summary
Bailey is twelve. She lives in a run-down building in North Kent with her father, Bug, and her half-brother, Hunter. Bug gives his children little of his time. One day he announces that he is engaged to Kayleigh, whom he met three months ago, and that the wedding is on Saturday. Bailey is shocked and angry. She says she will not go and storms off.
