Plot summary
Jayne Ferré is a professional assassin who carries out hits for the Mafia. One of her jobs goes wrong, and she comes away with a suitcase that holds a million dollars belonging to Frank Bianci, a mob boss. Bianci puts a price on her head, so she decides to leave Los Angeles. On the road she gets a ride from Kerry, a teenage boy who owes money to a drug dealer, and Kerry's mother, Emily Shaw. Jayne tells them she will pay their expenses, and the three of them drive toward Texas. The car breaks down along the way, and they stop for the night at a motel.
