Plot summary
Stanley Moon is a short-order cook at a Wimpy restaurant in London. He is infatuated with Margaret Spencer, a waitress, but is too shy to approach her. An attempt to hang himself is interrupted by George Spiggot, who says he is the Devil. George offers Stanley seven wishes in return for his soul. Stanley accuses him of being delusional, so George proposes a trial wish, a raspberry ice lolly from a nearby shop. It is melted, and Stanley takes this as proof that George is the Devil.

- Dudley Moore wrote the soundtrack of Bedazzled, and its title song was performed on screen by the fictional psychedelic rock band Drimble Wedge and the Vegetation with Peter Cook as vocalist. The song, Moore's best known, was later covered by Tony Hatch, Nick Cave and The Love Interest.
